Donna Campbell Smith writes from her home in Franklin County, NC. Her published works include young reader books Pale as the Moon, An Independent Spirit, Bear Song and Puddin’ Tain. She also has published four non-fiction books: The Book of Miniature Horses, The Book of Draft Horses, The Book of Mules and The Book of Donkeys. Her latest books have been cozy mysteries: In the Garden with the Pruning Shears and In the Library with the Dictionary.
In addition, Donna works as a freelance writer and photographer for various print and online publications including Back Home Magazine, Grit Gazette, Our State, Carolina Country, Boys Life, Young Rider, The Horse, and Western Mule.
Donna was named 2011 Artist of the Year by Franklin County Arts Council and has received awards for writing and photography.
